You heard it here first folks, the recently unveiled Golf GTI W12 will be making an appearance at this years GTI International, to be held later this month at Bruntingthorpe proving grounds. This is an exclusive for any UK show and is rumored to be the only appearance of the design study at any UK event this year. Called the GTi W12-650, it uses a twin-turbocharged W12 engine
producing a claimed 553lb ft torque.
The engine, borrowed from the luxury end of the VW range usually found
in the Phaeton must have taken some design planning to wedge into the
MK5 chassis.
This is certainly a great scoop for the show and the UK VW community and is sure to bolster an already strong attendance at the show this year. GTI International will be celebrating its 20th Birthday so this exclusive first look at concept further helps to commemorate this special occasion for the long running UK VW show.
