A few words from this month's winner

I decided to add a few pictures to the photo submissions thread this month as the theme was OEM+ and I think my car definitely falls into that category. When I looked again after a few days at the nominations thread though, it was obvious that this month's vote was going to be a good one as there were some superb examples in there, so I was amazed when voting closed and I was joint top with MC Pee Pants who's car, in my opinion, should have cleaned up! So into the tie break poll and I managed to come out with the top vote Smile

I must thank everyone who voted, as I know what a discerning lot you can be!

I've been on uk-mkivs now for more than 6 years. Thanks to Tabs, David & co for making this site one of the best, and here's to another 6 Beer

If I can, I'd like to dedicate this to my Dad who sadly passed away last month - this one's for you mate Smile

A few words from this month's winner

Thanks very much to everyone who took part and voted in this months COTM.

For a short while I thought i was going to be beaten by a girl Chuckle, seems my colour choice finally paid off.

Also, a big thank you to Serious Performance for this months prize

It means a lot to win as like many users of the forum you start off wanting to have a nicer than average car, but with frequent visits end up having an altogether different outlook on cars and of course your bank account gets a good hammering.

    Colour coded body kit
    R32 rear lights

  • February COTM Winner - DaveMK

A few words from this months winner:

What can I say? Thanks to everyone that voted for me as February’s Car Of The Month – it’s an honour.

A little bit of info - the car is a non-modded GT TDi 110. She was first registered in February 1999 to a local VW dealership. I’ve owned the car since May 1999 (time flies!) and she’s now on 112k miles.

Well, the specification of the car shouldn’t take too long as she’s completely standard except for a few factory fitted options!

    Engine

    • AHF 110bhp / 81kW TDi – totally standard

    Exterior

    • Canyon red (pearlescent)
    • Avus 15” alloys
    • Headlight washers
    • Heated washer jets

    Interior

    • Sports seats in black / red interwoven velour
    • Heated front seats
    • Climatronic A/C
    • Original Gamma stereo
    • 6 disc CD player

    Future Plans

I’m still resisting the increasing temptations to modify the car due to insurance purposes (it’s on a business insurance). However, I’m being increasingly enticed by larger alloys, coilovers and a remap but I’m also considering an upgrade to an A3 / new Golf so who knows what the future may hold!!
