UK-MKIVS Win Best Club Stand Award at GTI International 2006

Back to defend the Club stand title gained back in 2004, UK-MKIVS goes on to win best club stand award at this years GTI International show - well done to all those involved for helping with out theme and gernerally getting involved - we could not of done it without you all. Having comments from people about the sand and bails of hay really made all the effort worth it. Even the Hawaiin Lei we bought had people talking. The presentation for the award was held at 4.30 on Sunday - by which time most had gone home, I was keen to make sure a couple of you that had taken part in the operation and planning of the stand were there to receive the award as well - guess we'll have to photochop you into the photo!

Big thanks go to those that participated in the inter club competitions. The Walrus, Josh, Wilko, CkB, NikB and Gary Cundliffe all gave it top beans in the tug of war - All good fun. The space hopper race was also a great laugh - with Martin and loEnuff jumping to help. And special thanks go to Kiz for taking part in the cracker eating competition - you did well considering the heat!

What a great show and it was good to see things back on top with the layout and atmosphere. The layout was much better than previous years and the location of the show couldn't of been any better -  slap bang in the middle of the country - just off the M1.

It was great to see so many people on the stand both days. Your support and effort was greatly appreciated and ensured we had one of the most active and colourful stands of the entire weekend. I think the prime position we had really gave us the opportunity to take full advantage of the layout. There were some great cars on both days and I believe we had just the right number to make it work well. Maybe next year, given the space available, we can do things on a even larger scale.

Looking forward to next year already!
