Recently made available to Japanese PS3 players via the Playstation store, the newly released Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is causing quite a stir amongst gamers.

A number of cars from various world wide manufacturers are available, ranging from Ferrari to Ford. But one manufacturer and car in particular caught our eye. It seems Volkswagen, or maybe the game developers opted to include to the '01 model Golf MK4 GTI 1.8T over it's MK5 counter part. This is a somewhat strange move given that most other manufacturers in the game are sporting their latest models, such as Mitsubishi's Evo X and the new Ford Mustang. Of course other manufacturers like Renault have included the Clio V6 so maybe it's not quite a final indication of the cars that will be available in the final version of GT5

With a starting balance of 3,500,000 credits the Golf MK4 GTI is one of the first cars to buy due to it costing 3,150,000 credits.
