Don't forget the replacement for the R32 will be coming a year after, and that's reportedly going to use an uprated 2.0 T FSI so that'll be another good reason the GTI 'only' gets 211PS.

Why only 211ps when the ed30 and pirrelli had 230,the mk6 gti will be underpowered compared even to todays rivals, come on vw give us at least 280 in a awd chasis

It looks to me in the 7/7 photo the the honey comb grill is still there, albeit in other photos of the MK VI it is not.
