    ..........it's going up!

£4 for cars. I think it's starting in January. Hate to say it but it's still worth it, especially at rush hours!

No problem!! Getting expensive but it is worth it for the amount of time it saves.

WOW, I havent seen any signs of M6 road works for next year, thats usualy the time they raise its cost......

I'd watch your speed too when on it, its a brilliant road & quite empty & you'll be tempted top boot it, but they do run unmarked on there now, due to this.

when it 1st opened, if you were doing less than 110mph, you were going sloooooooow

I’ve just been out to the car park & couldn't help notice that my car is considerably more shinier than yours

Ive never used the toll road and wandered how you pay for it? Is it like a row of toll booths, you throw money in and the barrier goes up?

Correctomondo, or if you're me you get the right change ready, throw at toll both and miss the pot, then you have to get out and scrabble on the floor and look a right prat, luckily it's something I'm quite used to!

Re the speed, you'd think they'd up the limit a little, even as just a test.  Nah, far too sensible and if it worked there might be an argument for upping it elsewhere, imagine the lost revenue...

Yep or you can pay pay card, or give a person your money.  Or if you use it often you can get a tag which transmits it details to the booth as you get close and the barrier opens automatically after checking you have enough credit in your Tag account.

Exactly. Some have attendants in case you need change or a reciept, some are just machines that you throw money into.

I had a nightmare bloke in front of me. Obviously, he got to the barrier and realised he didn't have his wallet in his pocket so out he gets and has to search the car, then the boot to find it. Had to wait there whilst he was messing about because there was a car behind me so I was trapped.Angry

Yep this happens quite alot from what I remember from the time I used the cash booths.  You also get people using the Tag lane who havn't got the tag fitted properly and wave it as they approach the barrier which doesn't always work, or even worse people who follow the car in front down the tag lane but they havn't got a tag Angry  and then hold the queue of traffic up as they try to explain to the operators what they are doing.

That's terrible, that's half of the reason that you pay, you get to cut out the traffic but also to abuse your car by doing speeds you wouldn't normally do on public roads, I'll think twice before going on the toll road if I'm driving through the area again
