Been meaning to make one for a while so thought i'd get on with it whilst i have some spare time. Took the car for a few (camera) pics earlier so il use those.

Didnt take many pictures of the car when i first bought it in October but just imagine a bog-standard 1.6 S in black and thats it!

Anyways started off by adding the GTI style lights to the back as a mate had these going for cheap.

 However thinking of getting some RCCR's, think they would set off the back end nicely along with my other plans.

I then changed the tiny trolley wheels the car came with for some RS6 Replicas from the boys at Rochford Tyres. They were superb and they were on the car within 30 mins No complaints apart from slighty slower acceleration, but the way i see it a 1.6 was never meant to be nippy!

 Then after both dipped beams decided to pack up within a week of each other i took this as an opportunity to get some xenons fitted. but i didnt want to put them in standard headlights because of glare and because it looks gash. So the cheapest (remember im a student lol) option for me was to get some FK angels and pop them in there. Results are pretty damn good i have to say...

 Thats it so far but hoping to get a few things sorted after i get the lads holiday in the summer paid for! Probably get some medium tints and the remote fogs fitted before then, and then eventually RCCR's, Coded bumpers, Votex Spoiler, Some type of twin exit 4mo style back-box which wont break the bank! and a centre armrest! The theme is very much OEM. Not much point in doing anything performance wise, as from what ive heard the costs outweigh the gains by far! Just save up a bit each month for my Focus ST170 i think is a much better idea.

Hehe, the 1,6 has definitely made progress! Its amazing how much difference the tail lights make over the standard crappy ones!

As others have said, needs lowering a tad

Tell me about it! I got my GTi tail lights before picking up the car. The standard 1.6 lights are shockers. Good work with the front lights too. Looking good mate! Have you considered detailing I can see some swirls on the back there! Before I slam mine and get new rims I’m sorting my paint out. I’m colour coding too. Check these.

And thanks for the links, but i think i might bite the bullet and get the car detailed somewhere as i dont have most of the products or applicators that you used!

Looking good mate, good start you've made. The rear clusters were the first mod I made to, those orange ones are terrible!!  I've got the FK angel eyes too and a HID kit is needed because the light outputs so poor!

Loving the rims, once lowered, will look even better.

There Dark Smoke at the back and Medium in the front. So i think thats  75% and 50%? not too sure about percentages!

I'm gunna have to go for new tints on the front; just having the back annoys me a bit. Yours is looking good my man!

 I've got a trick if you wanna make it look like your door handles are colour coded... Use Auto Glym super resin polish or similar compound and work into them hard. They buff up to a dark black shine really nicely. Only takes 10 mins or so. Gettin the thin edges is more difficult but it takes that grey plastic look away.
