Hello ladies and gentleman, basicaly my sidelight on my drivers lamp wasnt working upon further inspection the light had been tampered with, so i sourced a new light from ECP.

Wired it up, everything was working, until wen i decide to drive home today and notice that the sidelight is not working again, what could be causing this???

Please help me people, im getting so annoyed at this little error in my car.

Not sure what would cause that! Maybe try an led sidelight, and see what happens, they look better anyway.

Try replacing both of them, just doing one can quite often cause this to keep happening for a reason I've yet to figure out.

seems a bit extreme having to put a new fuse box in...my brothers mk iv 1.9gttdi kept on blowing bulbsin the side lights every 3 weeks, like your self took it to a auto electrician-but every thing was fine...so i changed the buld again & so far so good its lasted 6 months...

i never did find out what was causing it

it does what it say's on the tin

for sale... set of estrol alloy wheels with nearly new 225-45-17 good year f1 asymmetric tyres to fit mkv golf

Sounds a bit like the builder that want's to knock your house down and start again because there's a small amount of flaking paint in your hallway, sorry can't help you with your problem though from this distance.

Pull them out with small hands or unfortunately if you admit defeat the only other way is to take the bumper off then the headlight out.

If you undo the blanking plate at the back mate. Just pull the little holder out. The holder is like a tapered plastic bit that clicks in to the hole, Maybe the tapered bits have come off and the previous owner has super glued? They are alittle hard to get at, but i have hands like shovels and i can just about do what i need to do.

I just fit a set of Anniverary headlights, then realised that i hadnt swapped the light motors out the old ones. I put the motors back in, in situ, So it isnt that hard a job.. The passengers, requires you taking the plastic battery cover off anything else that could aid.  Failing that.. Taking the bumper off isnt that hard. About 14 screws and 20 mins i had it off and back on again..
