Well i see that a lot of you all track the progress / changes to your cars on threads so I thought I would do the same ok here goes:-

I bought the car in May 07 and this is what it looked like in the auto trader advert

So the first thing I did was give a good clean up wax and polish to make it feel a bit more like it was my car and had the back three windows tinted and added my private plate to hide the year of the car and added the newer V5 badges with the red 5.

I then added headlight protectors and a new tax disc holder a new stereo with bluetooth kit and went to my first meet, which was at Bluewater in August

Leaving the meet I decided I was going to have to spend quite a bit of cash to get my car to how i wanted it but the meet gave me some good ideas.

I then bought the German style number plates and plate holders for the front and back from www.dubmeister.co.uk who were very helpful and sent them in the post the next day. I also ordered a rear aero wiper from www.vwspeed.co.uk courtesty of Mike on the forum who again was very helpful.

I also decided that the car was sitting too high and had it lowered 35mm and now it seems to handle and look better albeit the ride isnt as comfortable.

I also took some arty pics to see if i could....................but the standard on here is very hard to keep up with !!

I then decided that although the Powerflow cat back exhaust sounded amazing (see video on youtube under "v5 with powerflow" ) I wanted to change the look of that backbox and opted for a smaller one.

I also treated myself to some Euro Spec rear clusters and the smaller Sharan Badge so now the car looks like this. Forgive the fact that i have no centrecaps on the alloys its just that they are looking a little shabby where i keep cleaning the wheels that i had taken them off to match them up.

As you can see the pipe is far better that size !!

That is it for now but plans are new wheels and spacers a new probably anni front and rear valance (colour coded), a rear spoiler......................

Any comments or suggestions are welcome

    EDIT - pics from 07/11/07

I have now fitted a black grill and a black VW badge at the front - here is a pic

Ok well now i have added some RS6's to replace the RS4's and some 5mm spacers on the rear, here are my latest pics

    Comments welcome !

looks sweet mate, well done for getting rid of the big bore nova exhaust! Stick out tongue

get the spacers! i did, it made the car have a much nicer stance! made it look really moody.

what wheels you planning on getting? i think some merc rims would suit your down to the ground!

To be honest I am not sure what wheels to go for i was either going to go really OEM look with some RS4 or BBS type rims or really stand out in a crowd different, I need someone who is good with photoshop really then i can get a better idea.

I like the sound of Merc rims though - what sort do you think ?

only problem is you'll need PCD adaptors as your PCD is 5x100 and merc is 5x112.

still not a real problem as Venom or similar will provide em for you no worries..

the bold bit is the address you want the link to send it to.

the underlined bit is what you want the clicky bit to say.

maked sure you have the other url and [ bits down too, otherwise it wont work. best way is to write it as a thread in the testing section and then copy and paste it into your sig in your profile section.

The drop is actually 35mm and they are G and M springs, that were bought and fitted at Elite in Rainham, essex all in for 200 quid.

how many fotos??? Cool nice car mate.

you asked me about my wheels.

the wheels on my tdi are replicas 8.0" x 18". the centre caps are crappy stickers that blow off in the wind. that foto was taken just after putting them on the car - hence the brick used as a chock. they are S-line wheels fitted to S-line Audis. i replaced the centres with original centres from Audi but had to bluff the salesman cos he wouldn't give me them without first providing a chassis or reg no. they now look identical to Audi S-line wheels. Nice.

Ok well today it meant spending more money on the car, I woke up one morning last week to find that one of my centre caps had been nicked from my wheels, most annoying.

Although this did sway into getting another set of wheels so here we are my car with its new shoes - oh and 5mm spacers on the rear ! I know a lot of people have these but not as many as who had the previous rs4's I had on there.
