    Hi

Got myself some Eibach Pro Street S Coilover Kits, (didnt know they were made by KW, looks like the Variant 1's with Eibach Springs)

Anyways, i also got new strut top mounts from BBT a while back, so been waiting for the Coilys to come. Now, last night i was getting the coilys ready to fit on to the car over the weekend, when i noticed something, the bearing doesnt screw on, the hole is too big. Should it be screwed on? i saw a howto thread about KW coilys, where they thread the bearing onto the coilys.

Any help appreciated, is it ok to run with the bearing loose as it is, or should i be getting different bearings?

I have just fitted coil overs to mine and the bearing didn't screw on, I built them up in this order:

spring cap > Spacer > Bearing > Strut mount > nut

The spacer was an thick aluminium washer roughly the same size as the bearing with one face having a slightly concave surface for the bearing race to sit into.

so guessing the spacer is the distance piece (#28) in the pic above?

Looks like i have everything but the distance piece

    hi HafizuHafizur

i have jsut fitted a set of these to my golf at the weekend!

i think your be very happy with them when you get them fitted! they are a little hard on the comfort side of things but more than make up for it when you push them hard into a corner! and this is without any aftermarket arb's.

for the money they that are i dont think you could get a better coilover set up
