Removing Speedo Cluster

    To remove the speedo cluster on the Golf \ Bora:

    • Disconnect the car battery throughout the procedure 
    • First remove the trim between the cluster and the steering column by pulling it towards you to unclip it.

    • Undo the two torx screws behind.

    • Pull the cluster towards you to get to the blue connector.

    • Undo the clip by levering it up wards to release the blue connector. The clips are easily broken so be carefull.

    • Remove the blue connector from the cluster.

    • Repeat the procedure on the green connector block.

    • Remove the cluster.
    • Refitting is the reverse procedure.

    If you need to seperate the cluster to fit chrome rings \ foils etc then have a read of this as well Yes

    Fantastic how too. This video and How to convinced me to go ahead and get some speedo rings and have a go.. If it wasnt for that i wouldnt have even bothered as they said remove the cluster... that to me sounds hard.. terminology i guess..

     

    Anyway thanks for that will be a big help when im stuck half way thro!  Big Smile
