Hi long time member some of you will know that i recently made the transition from TDI to V6 and i have been smiling ever since, picked up a 03 V6 4motion bora with a few toys on board, needless to say ill find it hard to go back to 2wd drive!!

    Spec when i got it:

    Xenons

    Black recaro leather(heated mmmm)

    Climate control

    Cruise control

    Koni coilovers

Rear window and rear passenger windows tinted.

And all the usual high line bells and whistles.

    What i added:

R32 steering wheel (from my old golf)

BBS RCs 18x8 ones not the anni ones (also from my old golf)

    Full R32 alu trim

    R line gear knob

Front and back colour coded VW badges (sprayed myself as these cant be bought for the bora)

De badged the back totally for the sleeper look.

    Stubby aerial

    headlight protectors

K&N panel filter (also from my old golf)

    Plans i have:

    Milltek cat back system

    Leon cupra 4pots

    R32 clocks with full FIS

Heres some pics let me know what you think.

Got to be one of the nicest Boras I've seen. Not overly modded and straight.
Glad to be back with a VW

    Beautiful looking car fella!

however... as sensible/necessary they may be... dont the ghastly lenses/securing clips on the headlight protectors make you want to cry?

Im suffering the same difficulties having oem xenons myself...

Looks very nice mate, some nice tasteful mods there (though I'm not sure about the black badges personally).

On a personal note I was the guy who was going to come over to Dublin to buy this off of Tony, as I knew it was a high spec that wouldn't be available again, though I ended up finding a similar spec. one in gold in the end so I'm happy. Big Smile  Just need the xenons to top my spec. list.

How much was the VRT in the end as it sounded very expensive when I spoke to Tony?

If your after a miltek exhaust for it you may want to add your name to my thread in the group buy sections (follow link in my sig) as Miltek no longer make the system for Bora 4mo's but will do if we get 10 or more people to commit to buying a system!

Was that you rich?? wow small world.i had looked at it when he first put it up for sale and i wasnt really in a position to buy it but it eventually got to the stage where if i didnt buy it i would end up kicking myself!!!

What spec one did you get in the end? any pics? im happy you got one too.

VRT was expensive but it had to be paid so ill not cry over it-worked out at over 3,000 euro!!

Ill have a look at that milltek group buy now as i was on to awesome about one and got the story of needing 10 buyers! how many buyers you have so far?

    Shane.

Yeah I should have bought it in the first place (July last year!) but as you said I wasn't in a position to buy it at the time and Tony was asking too much for it tbh.  Then when he put it up for a reasonable price and I managed to get the money you stole it off of me! Chuckle

Here's my car and spec list : http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/1198864/ShowThread.aspx#1198864

Yeah I already asked Awesome about the Miltek exhausts (look in the Awesome section) hence I'm trying to drum up some interest from the Bora V6 guys on here.  Going to post on VR6 OC a bit later as well as I know there are a few Bora owners on there too, but at the moment its just you and me bud.

Dam you, haha, you had xenon's from new. i need some, and also the bora vents but i cant get rid of the multi function wheel i love it.

Love your car mate, the wheels look great im after some RC's later this year, and maybe KW V1's

Agree with keeping the V6 and 4mo badge, just get rid of the BORA one as im doing, let people know what it is.

Dont go for the Brembo kit from the leon, try if you can to keep the weight low, its the only real downfall of the v6 motor's, im trying to find and sort out some:

Standard size 312x25mm Setup but with 2-piece discs to keep them light and 4 pot calipers. This should give the " as much is needed" breaking, wilst keeping the weight well below that of the standard setup and much less than that of the mass R32 discs. As even the LCR has bigger discs than the 4Mo.

What I Got: 2001 Silver 2.8 V6 4Motion | 3 Dr | Sun Roof |Full sports leather | Multi Function wheel | Heated Seats | Winter Pack | Aero Wipers | Stubby Aerial | Phillips Xtream 80%+ | Diodems | TT Quick Shift | Rear ATB Spoiler | R Line Gear Nob and surround | Full R32 Alloy | Gamma + DSP | Full FIS | Rain Sensing Wipers |

Those photo's make your car look dark grey!  Weird!  Still looks lush though and the rear lights do suit it Yes.  Any more photos of the exhaust?

How come the exhaust is hanging down then?  Is it the problem with the exhaust mount being worn?  If so I'll try and get one ordered ASAP as I'm going to AmD to get mine fitted on Thursday.

Did you go for the resonated or unresonated milltek. Would love to be able to hear it as i'm about to sign up for a milltek myself..........

Is it any louder in the car....................

I don't want a droning when i'm cruising at speed.

Very unsure on whether to go unresonated.

    Any advice greatly received
