Apparently this stuff is the shizzle - hardcore decoking style.

Anyone know much about using it? as it isn't widely available. A brief look at the web for reviews and it would appear it does what it says on the tin.

I use it on mine regularly, came highly recommended & it does do what it says on the tin.

Get it local, from a place that specilises on anything diesel powered, think it cost me about £11.75 a bottle.

Theres quite a lot selling it on Flea Bay, theres one with a B.I.N of a £5

I wouldn't trust ebay as far as I could throw it... sadly thought here's nowhere local that sells it and everywhere online seems to think it costs upwards of £5 to send each 400ml bottle through the post.

Fancy getting me a few bottles and sending them down if I forward you some dough Ade?

    Mike.

Apparently there's several garages around here that sell the stuff. One of my clients was wearing a Forte jacket and I asked him about it all - apparently it really does work (but then he probably would say that!!).

    Ade - 3 bottles ok?..

Nick - A fella at work has run it through his Vectra for 200,000 miles from new and it's the sweetest running engine I've ever heard. I've stopped the s*** coming in with the EGR bypass and Provent, so I may as well start removing the stuff clogged up around the valves and injectors. All the other stuff off the shelf isn't that different to what you already find by way of detergents in diesel apparently.

3's fine, it will be Monday before I can get them. I think they were about £11.75 a bottle - is that ok?

Not the same stuff Greg, it doesn't up the cetane or anything... it cleans all the cack from the fuel system, injectors and decokes everything on the way out including lambda sensors.

How is the Forte used? do you add it to the tank or is it ran like a purge in neat form?

Bang a 400ml bottle in the tank at service time, every 10k - doesn't need anything more.

    Cheers.

Doesn't VW put some sort of engine/fuel cleaner in the system at the Service, I remember being told this when I dropped my mum's polo off a couple of months ago, although that was petrol and I don't remember them mentioning anything like that to me when I dropped the TDI off a month ago

Ah ha sounds like I might need to get hold of some of this too.

Mine has just clocked 60k so could probably do with a bit of a clean.

    Cheers

Forte have set up a scheme with many garages called 'The Good Garage Scheme'.

All of their agents use Forte products as its part of the scheme so you can get it at any local participant.

Use the postcode search on their website to find an agent in your area

Nice one kalu have located a bottle from your link. Chucked the lot into just under 1/2 a tank of diesel.   Im trying anything at the moment as I have the sticking turbo vane problem occasionally & im trying to fettle it my own way.  If it doesnt work its going to be decision time to either part ex the car or go through the hassle of a replacement/refurb turbo.  Hope this helps too!

You might wanna consider trying this:

    http://www.innotecworld.com/c-1057-turbo-clean-set.aspx

...apparently it has good results and could save turbo replacement/refurbishment depending upon how far it's gone.
