Has anyone seen my previous Mk4 Golf - a black 1999 3 door 1.8 GTi (non-turbo), registration T417DUY. I p/x'd it 4 years ago. The DVLA web site shows that is currently taxed and therefore still alive. It was completely standard before I sold it.

I would be interested to know if the current owner is a forum member, or if anyone knows the whereabouts of my old ride.

Any information gratefully received. 

 Anyone seen it yet ? It's possibly still in the West Midlands area.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but while we are on a missing car thread, anyone seen my old 2.0GTI Black 5 Door, Y239 GNH only mod was V6 4Mo wheels. Part ex'd it in Derby 3 years ago.

Bump - someone must have seen T417DUY, it's still road legal...... 

 I know where both my old cars are,the first one has been scrapped(escort mk3 mint condition).

I was walking back to the car park after going to Rally Day at Castle Combe, and there she was in the exit queue.

After getting very excited at seeing her (much to my mate's embarrasment), the current owner caught me pointing at his car in an exciteable manner. Much to his bemusement, I went and stuck my head through his (open) window and introduced myself, and gave him a 10 second potted history of my 5 years with the car.

4 years after p/x'ing the car it was good to see that it was looking very tidy, including a nice set of S3 wheels.

Unfortunately, I never got a chance to ask whether he was a forum member, or whether he would give me first refusal if he wanted to sell it.
