    Hey everyone,

OK, My 1.9 TDI is completely standard at the moment with the exception to a few little tweaks such as alloys and lighting etc...

The next thing I want doing is my rear end, and out of all the exhausts I like this one the most...

For me to have that exhaust on my TDI, what is needed? Im not too bothered about extra performance of anything, I just want the look to be honest.

am I needing a full new rear bumper? or can I use the current one? Is it a cut out job or what? I dunno Ive never played around with the rear before on any cars.

Looking forward to hearing from ya,

    Bud.

hey pal thanks for the reply, Ive had a look around and I think it is a miltek.

I just thought I'd enquire on here because all I want is the look of it not so much the full system, but hopefully if I was to go for just the look of it it wont be in a takky way haha.

Thanks al look on Awesome GTI now.

I had a Milltek and new GTI lower valance on my GTTDI MKV.

The valance is only about £40 and so it isn't really worth trying to cut out a gap for the exhaust anyway.

If you just want the look then you could always go to somewhere like powerflow or Exhausts UK as they will be cheaper than a MilltekBig Smile

Just buy the GTI rear valance and then go for the GTTDI 170 back box,cut and clamp the rear box and you're done!It will cost you around £250 for all this to be done if you fit the bit's yourself.A little like mine but without the colour coding.

looks good mate, like the colour coding. i plan to do this mod to my 1.9 tdi golf aswell. was the exhaust a easy fit or does it need to be modified to fit the 1.9 tdi?

Ive done the same has sanjit but I bought the gti exhaust, and the rear bumper.  The exhaust was quite easy cos it fits straight on you just need an exaust company to supply and fit the centre pipe so the std tdi fits the gti.

Thank's mate, here's a pic of how my GTTDI 170 back box was fitted to my car,i've had both the GTI and GTTDI 170 back box and they both look identical in term's of bore size and fitting's.

Hope this help's some one, please take a closer look at the cut and clamp and you will see that all they used was a piece of piping in between both the bigger pipe and mine so no exhaust paste was required and it will be easier to remove if required.

That looks like a good fit sanjit...im using the original gti exhaust in one piece, then I had the tdi centre taken out and a reducer pipe from the gti to the tdi.  This is all in place using the oem clamps from the gti and tdi. This way its just a 22in straight pipe that is flared to fit the gti clamp.
