Had my Golf since last December, but haven't posted any pics up, so since having the coilovers fitted last week, I thought id make the effort:
Jetta/GT front next.
Comments welcome...
looking very nice - i love those wheels
Looking tasty !
Thanks for the replies :)
How low have you dropped it? The stance is real nice
The coilovers are all the way down (-70mm) atm, although it may have to go up as it is rubbing on the front passenger side arch liner. :s
Matt, that is looking awesome. Can't wait to see the jetta front on it.

Update: Carried out the front end swap yesterday after collecting the bumper from Keswick. As with all things the swap should have been relatively easy to do, in preparation I had read up everything going on the internet, however I soon realised they skimmed over the details! Stripping everything off was relatively easy until it came to freeing the front panel from the radiator, at which point I had to enlist the help of my brother, to stop the radiators dropping out. A few issues arose as we started to switch parts, and the list of new parts required continued to grow (various nuts, bolts, screws etc, 2 bumper runners, fog lights etc etc) Also found that the fog light on the standard mk5s are different to those used on the Jetta/GT/GTI at which point I had to seal them in bags and tape them to the lower front member. Also had issues with fitting the lower vents as the clips on the bumper as they had been given some generous coatings of paint. Oh then I decided against the chrome Jetta grille! When will it end??
Nice to see somebody else with the jetta front, excellent job done there mate.
hi matt
ive been following your thread on clublupo, even though im not a member
ive been lookin at the prostreets and was wondering how much they were and where was cheapest?
also what do you think to them?
lookin hot by the way
I have been really happy with the ProStreet S kit, the handling on the MK5 as standard is excellent anyway, so tbh I hadn't expected to notice too much difference, however it has vastly improved the handling, although ride quality has been sacrificed (quite bumpy and harsh).
I bought the kit from Venom in the end, and I think it was around £600 (they were the cheapest I found)
Thanks for the comments
I have never appreciated the chrome look on the front but this looks really neat and tidy a job well done
Sits nice and low as well

I think it helps that I changed the grille bars from chrome to the GT black ones, I felt it would be too chrome heavy.
Thanks for the comments.

Looks excellent Matt.
that looks really good!
I don't usually like the mk5 but that looks awesome !

lost 3 of the 8 bars so I matte blacked a rough GTI grille I had, and bought the lower centre honeycomb grille.
