Well don't know if its affected anyone else but since the site shutdown the other evening for an update things have returned to slow mode, and sometimes very slow mode again taking ages to load pages etc, hopefully its just a short term thing.!!! Confused

yeah seems a little better, i still think the biggest improvement was adding the quick reply at the bottom of the page instead of in a popup box

Yes i would agree there are some great improvements but for me there is speed issue at the moment, only on this site I might add. Still give it some time and see if it sorts itself out.!!! Smile

Not really, well maybe when I,m posting, and at other times when loading a page, funnily enough it seems to have improved since using the site during this morning.  Before the update the other evening it was really flying, guess I'll just wait and see what happens hey.!!! Indifferent

This is strange.  I'm wondering if the problem is user dependent?

I mainly use my work laptop which has Windows XP and IE7 to browse the forum.  Pages usually pop up either instantly or in a few seconds.

Today, I'm on my other laptop which has Windows Vista and IE7.  It's painfully slow, it is taking between 30 seconds and 2 mins for pages to come up, yet when they start loading, the whole page inc pics loads instantly.

It's gone all slow again for me Sad

I use Vista on my personal laptop and XP on my work laptop - it's the same on both.

I use XP and IE7 both at home and work and haven't experienced any problems. I don't have any saved PM's which I know was a potential cause for concern......

Still slow for me.   I'm going to switch back to my work laptop and see how that goes.

OK, on my work laptop now.  It's like night and day, I've control clicked on 9 pages and they all opened more or less instantly.

So I guess that proves that it has to be a setting in windows or IE7.   I'm not tech enough to figure this out on my own though, anyone know what I should look for?

I did a couple of changes around the time of your first post which will have slowed the site down for a minute
