    Hi all,

Just thought i would share where i am with my Golf 25th Anniversary.

I have had the car 10 months now and still love driving it now as much as when i had it. Really glad i joined this forum because if i hadnt i still wouldnt have a clue about VWs and wouldnt have done half the things i have dont to my 25th Anniversary. Everyones been great and offered so much advice and helpful tips. Dont worry im not leaving just putting in an update.

    Whats been done so far:

25th Anniversary GT TDI number 0304 in reflex silver with 56,000 miles on the clock, powder coated silver BBS RC alloys.

Full miltek exhaust from the turbo back with dicrete tailpipes, drivers side door delocked, debadged tailagte, front and rear aero wipers, green cotton panel air filter, parrot ck3200 bluetooth car kit, brand new 25th anniversary floor mats, private registration and of course 3 ukmkivs.net stickers for that finishing touch.

Now running at 158.2 bhp and 259.4 lb/ft torque with the exhaust.

I did have some new pics but my camera has just given up on me so they will have to wait. Heres a pic i took a while back.

    Whats next:

Need to renew tax and MOT next month.

Im currently saving up as i want to get a remap and an uprated clutch done at the same time, hopefully in September or October.

Only thing i have a problem with is my speedo fluctuating which is doing my head in. I had the speedo sensor changed at the beginning of the year but the problem is back. Dont really know what to do next but i am waiting for payday so i can get it into my local garage (not VW) and see if they can solve the probelm. I have scanned the car with my vagcom shareware 409.1 and the only code i have found is 01135 (Interior monitoring sensor 36-00 open circuit). I have cleared this and it hasnt come back but i am still getting my speedo fluctuating.

    Cheers for the replies guys.

I had the non-resonated full exhaust from the turbo back fitted. It definately makes a difference from standard. Only added about 3bhp but it made more of a difference with the torque and its alot more responsive now.

I will try and do a sound clip soon.

Really nice looking car mate, all Anniversary should look like that, body mods kept down to a minimum to keep the marque of the 25th Anniversary is what i like to see.

Theres plenty of 25th Anni's about. You just got to find the right one for you. Mines just done 56,000 miles and still looks great for a 6 year old car. When im off work next week im going to give all the interior and seats a clean as they havent been done since i had the car.

     Looks really sweet

Just one thing though, I thought Anni's were 180BHP as standard?  Is that power figure you've got at the wheels?

It sounds great and ticks over nicely. Really glad i went for the non-resonated exhaust. I think it was well worth the money.

Just debating now the chipped uk st3 for the remaps.

Put some plain number plates on the front and back of my Anni today.

I was going to invest in some number plate surrounds but decided against it and stuck with just plain number plates. I think they make the car look better. Going to clean and wax her tomorrow if the weathers nice and then i will post some more pics.

Cleaned all my seats in my Anni today with Autoglym Interior Shampoo. What can i say, its brought the seats to life.

Spent £30 in halfords today buying various cleaning products. Waiting for a nice day then i can get cleaning and post up some more pics.

Recieved a Golf Mk4 standard ariel off another forum member. Cheers Ashmond.

Thought i would modify it and cut it short.

Heres where i cut the ariel with a hacksaw compared to a normal standard Mk4 one.

I was then left with the shorter piece and disgarded the top piece.

I then tried this ariel on the car and it worked perfect.

If you notice though where it was cut the top was white. I tidied up the top with a file and luckily my dad had some black plastic guttering sealant which i used on the top to cover the white.

I was then left with this ariel.

Here it is on the car and the ariel works perfect.

Definately a cool cheap modification and the ariel only cost me £10.

Someone suggested it to me so i thought i would try it but i didnt want to try it on my ariel just in case it didnt work which is why i wanted another.

I was fed up of waiting for the group buy for the Enfig ariel to start up again.

    Thnkyou for the ariel Ash.
