If you can run to the expense then coilovers are the best way to go so that you can play around with the cars stance. It all depends on what model you have as to how low it will end up as some boras are reasonably low in the first place (sports packs etc) others are sky high. So fixed drops aren't always what you expect. Check out old threads on here and you will find that quite a few people have gone for shocks and springs only to be unhappy with the look and then changed for coilovers.

Exactly the reason I went for coilees - I would have preferred the certainty of a comefortable ride, but I have no complaints with what I have got. I have only dropped my front by about 15-20mm but the back needed 50mm or so. Don't know if this would have been achieved with a kit claiming to give -40mm? If my front WAS actuall dropped by 40mm from std then I would be bottoming out over pebbles!

On the std suspension the car also sat lop-sided by about 10mm. This reamined when first fitting the coilovers at the same number of thread turns but I was then able to adjust to suit.

There now seems to be a coilover kit to suit all budgest. I got mine for £220 but you can go all the way to £800+. Horses for courses...
