Don't know if it's been suggested before, but a referrals forum might be be good for people to refer anyone who has done a good job for them, a 'thumbs up' forum as so to speak

 I was thinking this earlier as I'm due for a service, ahem, I mean my Golf and a referral for my area would be good (being a complete n00b).

There's already a dealer and independants forum that's meant for recommendations (or not, in some cases!)

As Dave has said above, most people don't use it for that though
