Well as I have been a member on here for about 2 years now I thought I should finally post up some photos of my car so here she is on top of the world:

Then the subtle modding begun...

Although I have no Pics of some of this, this is what I did:

Rear Aero Wiper

Front Aero Wipers

2 x Blue LED Flashing Lock Caps

W8 Light

GTi Hella RBBR Rears

OEM Clear Side Repeaters

New Dash Cluster with Middle MFD and Miles til Empty (Thanks Kalu)

Cruise Control

Heated Seats Added as the looms were there but the Seats werent?

3 Spoke Leather GTi Steering wheel to get rid of that hideous Plastic one

OEM Center Arm Rest

Vibe BlackAir II+ Installed in Custom enclosure in the boot powered by a Slick A7 Monoblock Amp and the fronts changed to Vibe SE-K60's with all the speakers in the car powered by a Vibe Blackbox 3:

Then A custom Car PC running off a Mac:

Then I got sick of that so I replaced it with a Kenwood DNX7200 with TMC receiver and Bluetooth phone module and wow what a difference best upgrade ever:

Then I bought some new alloys namely some BBS RSII's which were in a state:

Shes was sitting on my brothers TT's winter wheels which are a rough set of Comps, which I'm not even gonna upload a pic of they are so bad!

I then refurbed the RSII's and got them on the car so now she looks like this:

Want to do more but at the moment I'm 18 with 2 years no claims, looking at buying a 130PD or 150PD by then end of the year because I have just finished my A-Levels and got a good paying job so I'm looking at selling her although its so tough to find a good one with the amount of extras mine has, I cant settle for anything without Climate Control, Heated Seats and possibly Leather. I'm just going to keep hunting.

I made it, bought a Xenarc touch screen and cut the plastic bezel to fit then glued it in, filled it sanded it, primed it and painted it. My build thread is here:

And no its running off my Mac laptop purely because I was going to get a Mac Mini if I liked how it all ran, but then decided against it.

Car looks great Joe. Love the car pc install. Why did you decide to change it for a Kenwood DNX7200 with TMC receiver and Bluetooth phone module? were you getting problems with the mac or didnt you like it?

No, it was good, but the GPS was useless, the Phone didnt work with the handsfree software and Boot times were okay but you can't beat an all in one headunit! It does all the things that the Mac should have but it works 100% of the time!

Yeah, I'd say you'd have to wait for one of the flash-based macs with 'instant on' performance. The GPS programmes were useless when I looked into doing this 7 years ago. I'm sure they will be a lot better soon given what Apple's doing with the new 3G iPhone.

No the car is in the body shop having the stone chips taken out... So I will get some up on Monday night.

Got the Car back today! Finally lol Put on the Proper front Aero kit after living with the crappy retro fit ones for 6 months! Also got a black badge and got the center colour coded to match the outside. The front badge in black is coming soon!

Next on the Agenda is some Smoothed front and rear bumpers, im not getting the strips colour coded on the doors or the handle because I think it contrasts the silver well and splits it up, im going for a bit of a black and silver theme as you can probably guess.. I'm also considering getting the centers of my RSII's powdercoated black... but not until they need it.

Joe your car reminds me a bit of mine -

When I got it, it was a bog standard boring 1.6, but I like to think I've made it look a lot better, just by adding a few little things like GTI rear lights, aero wipers, clear side repeaters... I've also updated the interior with a new door handle trim, ash tray cover, and gear knob and gaiter ... just bits like that, that after 10 years have started to look a little on the worn / tatty side!
