     Hi all my exhaust emission light has come on the golf 18 t aum 2002 model ....

     

    Before I goto the stealers for help thought try on here 1st can you help please ?

     

    & will driving round with the EML cause any damage to the car ?

    don't worry, the light won't damage the car, but it may cut down the amount of power.  I'm not too far from heathrow, just the other side of uxbridge.  let me know if you still need a hand.

     Hiya John thanks for the offer I will keep you in mind ....

     

    I got the dtc read  & its code ; 17544

     

    I have searched the forum & checked the parts but have found no leaks in the hoses etc .

     

    How do I know for 100 % what it could be........ would an advanced vag-com tell exactly which part is @ fault ?
