Apologies if this has already been suggested, but I am new here and there are a lot of posts in this particular forum 
A feature I have used on other forums which I think would work well here is having links below the last post in the thread.
Similar to the one on the red bar at the top of this page: uk-mkivs >> Forum Main >> Suggestions and Comments >> Links back?
Especially on long threads (or threads with pictures) it means you don't have to scroll back to the top of the page, to navigate somewhere else. I know the Back button can be used but threads can have a lot of pages.
