its quite straightforward - the biggest problem i find is getting the missus to hold the laptop steady whilst i'm driving 
its also a case of knowing and finding out what blocks you want to measure to see if everything is working - pretty cool watching the graphs form 
so which blocks should i be measuring for torque and bhp graphs?
also does it mater if the road is flat, i guess not? and also a presume the weight of the car (full tank of petrol and/or luggage) is irrelavnt?
