They had one of these at the motorshow at Cribbs Causeway over the weekend.

Had a sit in it, and all i can say is WOW! What a gorgeous car! 4 seater (not 5), good looks, comfy seats.

I'd get one if I could afford one.

    Anyone else seen one?

    Paul

Lovely motor if they get the R:.36 engine in this and make a sports cc and kept the exec styling it would be even more incredible.

I must say that I do like these CCs. A very nice looking car inside and out.

Where does the black in Guinness go when you wee wee? I mean, how can something blacker than a black night with the consistency of used engine oil come out crystal clear within 20 minutes after 10 pints?

Spotted my first CC in the dealership the other week - looks much bigger than the saloon. Surely only having two rear seats is going to turn people away? I mean it's hardly a selling point? the rear doesn't really bother us and I actually quite liked the car - it kinda stood out from the crowd. So I ask to go over some figures. And that's where the CC falls flat on it's face.

I was only after the 1.8T manual or a 2.0Tdi DSG - total discount on either £0. My trade-in? Well aparently there's no call for 2nd hand Mercedes C-Class auto's with sports pack and he offered me £11k for an immaculate 2 year old example with less than average miles. He then had the cheek to say would you like to take a test drive in the CC? By my reckoning, the equivalent Passat Highline which comes with std leather would be at least £4000 cheaper after discount. And there you have it, the biggest compeditor to the CC is the car sitting right next to it in the showroom.

I've never actually seen a CC outside a VW forecourt - it's a point I've just made to the dealer after his follow up phone call. "Have you had any more thoughts about the CC you were looking at?" says he. "Have you had any more thoughts about the deal I offered you?" was my reply. "Ah you see we're not allowed to discount the car - it's VW's policy. It's going to sell in such low numbers and VW want to keep the resale values strong".

I've been listening to the same bull for 25 years. Why do they bother?  Angry

My brother works for VW, this month he has been driving a Passat CC, silver 1.8T manual with lots of extras. Such a nice car, looks great and goes well. The ammount of strange looks we get from people driving arround is amazing, none of them know what it is. Parked outside my local Tesco the other evening we were stopped by about 3 people who wanted to know what it was. Some new sales for my brother then Wink
