Come on, I could have done worse!

No seriously though, just bought an '04 A3 2.0TDI 140 Sport as a replacement for my mk4 Golf. Its a sweet car and I love it, but I'd like to think Im building up a rep here, everyone is cool, and I can still dabble and offer my opinions

Anyways, just thought Id say hi!

Lol don't diss the 1.6! I loved that car, but it had 118k miles on the clock when I part ex'ed it against the a3, so it was on its last legs.

Love the torque of this though, and the wheelspin in 2nd :D Happy days! I always lusted after this car though, expensive toys are my vice.

I've got the SE (well the wife has) nice engine but a little harsh sounding compared to the 1.9. Very nice interior though! My 1.9 will knock spots off the Audi on fuel economy but I suppose the Audi is a much heavier car

I reckon you could have got loads more out of that 1.6 mate! I had an Mkiv 8 valve 2.0 GTi that had 191,000 miles on it before I sold it on and it was still running well!!

You got a nice car in its place though! Yes

Cheers for the comments guys - Well put it this way - alot of things were about to go wrong on my mk4, and you're right, it wasnt looked after well. I cherished it, but the previous owners didn't! I only had it for 10k miles before i changed it.

Economy isnt bad either! I get 500-550 to a tank, and i drive enthusiastically but mostly motorway.

Resintooth - Its very different, but it still has that same feel of build quality and solidity of my golf. The fact the car was buggered was enough for me to change, but I stayed VAG because I love the feel of small VAG cars.

Will def check out uk-audis.net! Shameless plug Tabs!!

Ring Jayson at Chipped UK for the ST3 (2 maps), tell him you're a member on here and you'll receive discount and tell him Hayley Chapman highly recommended them Yes

Before my map I was getting 213bhp, I now get 225bhp on the Fast Road map and 241bhp on the Track map which is outstanding figures for a V6 non-turbo'd car.
