I've got a sticking door lock for some reason. 8 times in 10, I lock the car - and the driver door doesn't lock, similarly I unlock and the drivers door doesn't unlock. However, if I fiddle with the door pin, that is ussually enough to dislodge something and it work temporarily.

Not sure whether it is just sticking due to muck etc., or whether it is the microswitch issue i've read so much about.

Anyone else experienced a similar thing?

    Thanks in advance

I would say new door latch required mate, perfect symptoms of mine and many others until it stops altogether making you look strange byt getting in other doors to drive or what ever, plus bit of a pain sometimes to get door open if its sticks in lock position

Would you say there is a chance that this will jam and my door be 'permanently' locked shut?

When you try to lock it does the lock pin drop slightly then pop straight back up again?

If so its the microswitch problem I'm afraid!

When I try and lock it - it either works or NOTHING moves at all.

If it won't unlock - nothing moves. I have to get into the passenger side, pull the inside handle (it won't open because the deadlock is engaged). But then when I try the fob, it pops the lock up (but it does sound like its 'struggling')!
