Just happened to ask what's the best music video of all time the other night. It almost ended in fisty cuffs - and that was just the women! What's your best video of all time and why? (without mentioning Thriller)

    I can't decide between:

Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer: Remember this was done when computer graphics were in their infancy... it's mostly done using stop motion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqyc37aOqT0

Baker Man - Laid back: love the song, but these guys obviously had the best time ever making this relatively inexpensive video. It makes me smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JAFppD_cGY

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker, although Rubber Johnny and Monkey Drummer are pretty cool if not a bit freaky!

I'm a bit of a fan of the ol' Aphex Twin stuff.

If it doesn't fit, spit on it and try again.

Michael Jackson's Thriller, just for the well choreographed dance routine, but the best bit of choreography ever has to be Daft Punk.......

Bah! Chris has beaten me to Daft Punk, so I guess I'll have to go with my second choice, simply because it's so silly and looks a lot of fun at the same time Smile

For me it has to be the first music video ever made (allegedly) - Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. However, Love In An Elevator by Aerosmith was always interesting, and as mentioned above Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel is an ever lasting memory.

Agree with Brian_GTI - He used to come to a club I used to work at. BTW were you thinking of Jodie Kidd or Ellen Mcarthur (Not sure about the name - the one who sailed solo around the world) ?

Window licker is defintiely one of the best, funny and creepy. It reminded me of another good Aphex Twin video, and in my opinion the most frightening music video ever made. Proper mental stuff.
