I never really got around to doing one of these properly since ive had the car so thought id collate it into one thread and stop spurring out multiple threads when i do something. sorry guys lol.

June last year (2007) i had a Rover 416i until the Head Gasket went bang. so i cut my losses and gave up and searched for a new car. (not mine but looked identical)

I then purchased a 1.4 51' plate polo thinking being a student i need something economical.  (not mine but looked identical). I owned this car for all of a month and in that time it spent more time with the  dealer i got it from than me drivign it.

I went thorpe park in it. we got there fine and attempting to come back to london pedal to the floor my top speed was 40 mph downhill and if lights were red i had to roll up to them and pray they turned green by the time oi got to them or there was no guaruntee i would be able to move after.

So i got a refund and then searched for a car. Popped along to car giant and there she sat waiting for me to buy her:

    Manufacturer: VW
    Model: GOLF TDI SE  PD100
    Engine: 1.9TDI
    BHP As Standard: 100

After i got her home august last year i fully washed her. Arent the orange tail lights lovely...mmmmm......

My first mod, i took the Sony GT300s i had out of the previous car i had and installed it and routed the sony ipod connector to the armrest.

Along next came the GTI Rear Lights because the orange ones bugged the flip outta me. also i picked up some RS6 alloys 17inch which fitted to the car. but boyyyyyy it looked liek a 4x4

Being that high up was scary so i realized around february time that she needed to be dropped. So then along came some cheapo coilovers the Hot-Tunning ones from ebay that are still doing the job very well Big Smile Kudos to Afro_Gti sorting me out with his c-spnner for some adjustments that needed to be made.

Then in Feb, the gf then got me tints for my birthday, thanks very much, kudos to her and it made the car look 10 times better. 20% back glass, 35% Rear glass and 50% front glass. very good contrasting effect and looks mint.

I then picked up soem replica anni kit parts which i did a DIY guide to on here and fitted them to the car.

Me, Afro and Amz then got together for some black pillar modding. Ill prob get it done permanently at some point but this will do for now. It took a longggggg time and alot of frustration to get it done  but props to the boys.

    Before:

    After:

With this completed i had a moment and oh boy what a moment. See the cracked sump. Yes the oil trail along the flatbed is allllllll mine Sad Kudos to R44MS for sorting me out new parts on the day. i was back pun' road on monday morning a couple hundred quid down. What a shoot weekend that was...

Having cracked the sump i proceeded to obtain some spacers for the motor.

the next mod up was...... and alll ill say is RRREEEECCCCCAAAAARRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOO. kudos to R32Pete.

    BEFORE:

    AFTER:

Having cracked the sump i was then really peed and knew i needed to raise the car. so i sold the 17s to a top bloke on here. Hope they are doign you justice Mark :) your roads are much more suited to them than mine. So along came the 18s. Mad props goes out to a certain person who help me fit them, had a laugh doing it.

Then i went down to see chris aka imagewerx to wire up the heated seats and so we did. All the seats had to coem back out again and we also re ran some wires and put my phatnoise in the boot. Its not often your interior is stripped apart so it makes a grown man nervous although you know youll put it all back together lol

Added some heat: (my sony headunit packed up and as a result back in goes the gamma which will stay for a while)

and heres the result and a shot of the boot with improved lighting in the boot after VWs woeful attempt at putting a light in the boot to use at night. what rubbish. Also are my Sub and Amp.

Thats it so far guys and shes pretty finished i feel, just some minor things remainign to be done.

    To be done:

Front spacers - to sort rubbing

Genuine Valances if ever i feel i can be bothered.

Anni Skirts - still sitting in my house unpainted. its too bloomin cold now.

Shortly will be pics from the photoshoot which may get done today.

    Thanks for looking.

    Lowell

Wow - it's only really when you see pics of where a car's come from to where it is now alongside each other that you realise all the work and little bits that have been done to it along the way.

    Looking good Yes

Not 100% as being 5mm there is plenty of hub for the wheel to fit on anyway but I will double check for you.

great buildup, sorry to hear about the problems

I'm liking the pic of the three cars parked up, it reminds me when my neighbour and his mate parked up their golfs (all black) behind mine...it looked cool until they got confused and forgot which one was theirs (I remember the guy standing by my car frantically pressing his remote and wondering why the door didn't unlock..lol)

    thanks for the comments guys.

    @ DJ and Yishal

You woudlnt believe how much i was laughing that all my oil was running out. i had to laugh as it could have been much worse. had i been tail gating the stones could have gone thru the windscreen or done worse damage to the cars bodywork.

so in a way im still lucky. had i ran over it with the wheels it would have def wrecked the suspension. i should have taken a picture of the sump when it was changed. the stone punched clean thru. about the size of both my fists together. lol

DJ ill see about bluewater if im not tired then ill come down.

Yish that guy still aint called me.

    @TDI Rich

cheers dude, all my neighbors keep asking me t wash their cars and i keep replying. pay me £100 and i will.

    @Mark

Thats the OEM look mate many things you wont quite be able to put your finger on. had it many times lol

    @ Adz

On 17s and running the ride height i as and a tdi lump i couldnt add a guard, the metal one. the 18s now give me more clearance but ill see if i really wanna put one on it. they are very expensive and now im rnign higher, is it really needed. lol
