hello all. been browsin for ages so thought id pop a pic or two up of my mk4!

i know straight away im going to upset a LOT of people on this forum, as unfortunetly the wheels on my car are definetly, defiently not approved on here from what ive gathered lol.anyway.

had it for my 17th last december, 53 plate with just 15k on the clock, have now met 25k 11months on.

    so far ive added:

    • lowered on G-max springs 40-45mm
    • gti rear lights
    • Rieger Skirts
    • Rieger Rear Apron
    • 18'' Ferreti Palmero American wheels (sorry Embarrassed but i do like them) on 225/45/18 falkens
    • Clifford 650 'G5' alarm, with intellistart
    • 12'' Vibe Evo 1600w active sub
    • 'Virtual Daylight' HID kit made by Ultra
    • 7'' Motorised DVD unit
    • Pipercross Filter

thats about it i think. i welcome any suggestions! and understand that critiszm is going to be hurled my way because of the 'Chrome Rims' lol. my reason is, the option for me to buy them was because theres too many golfs around my area with OEM stuff...the whole point of modifying is to make it unique i guess! i do like the OEM kits and wheels, i just wanted to stand out a tad.Tongue Tied

That was a little harsh LOL

looks ok but not fussy on the wheels, BUT it is your car and that is the main thing and as long as YOU like it that is all that counts Wink

lol carry on man. if peoples critiszm bothered me i wouldnt have botherd putting the pics up.

but basically danw19, i dont want to be yet another ''18rs4s and anniversary kit' sheep, thats it. and ok the chromes are a little too in your face, but well i friend was selling them cheap so i just had them off him, no biggie.

and as for the kit, its a Rieger kit. just an alternative to an anni or R kit. looks the dogs on Kaz's old mk4 on here, and mr wigsters. and anyone else who has that kit for that matter. only thing missing on mine is an R32 roof spoiler.

    cheers.

     Back to the original post

The car looks ok,the Reiger kit is a bit of a marmite mod,but it doesn't look that bad.Can i suggest that you buy some rear spacers to fill the rear arches up a little more,it'll make a huge improvement to it's stance.I'd be tempted to spray the mesh on the rear bumper black aswellIdea

Other than that it looks goodYes

thanks for comments guys! haha yes patch ive been folowing your cars progressionf or quite a while and learned you had a rieger front for sale. and your from Rochdale! My dads from Littleborough, haha.

yeah defiently leaning towards some 19inch rs6's. the wheels are nice in flesh, really.lol. they just attract the totally wrong people and attention for sure.

hmm spacers could be on the to-do list actualy Patch..and the mesh is black as they come but for some reason looks silver in the picsTongue Tied

i was looking on google for that pic of a car with tin foiled alloy wheels (steelies with tin foil made into stars stuck on it) that bike came up instead and i think its a dead ringer! Chuckle

its funny, its harsh, i don't like the wheels or the reiger kit but like everyones said, we're not driving your car and its not our car. do with it as you wish, wheres the fun in everyone having the same car?

definitely agree with the spacers, that'll make it look so much better! go H&R! speak to Damian at DPM on this forum.

i'd also colour code the bump strips, door handles and side strips, change the rear wiper for an aero one.

oh and welcome to the forum.

doesnt look too bad, i think maybe for me id choose to have a different finish in the wheels, if they were the ones i had. and probably smooth over the rear valance perhaps.

    It looks awrightSurprise

Wheels will be a pig to look after in the winter though and as soon as they look a bit scabby they will look really bad! Get winter rims!

Code the bump strips and lower it a tad - and if your doing the kit thing get the rest of it and do it properly.
