Its been a long time coming, over 2,500 posts later, I have finally managed to make a build up thread so here goes! I will update it with future mods too..

Just a note - zoom out in your explorer window as the pics are huge! lol

    Sold the first golf:

and I bought this new one in February last year and this is what it originally looked like..

It was a pd 130, specced up with leather seats, cruise control, climate control, rain sensor wipers the lot...

I really liked the Oettinger wheels when I first got the car, then went off them, now I kind of like them again, I can't make my mind up! lol I purchased a set of 19" rs6 alloys but didn't like them once they were on..

Over the last 8 months there has been some MAJOR transformations!..

    March 2008

First up was to sort the sounds out, this did the job nicely (Satnam thanks to your bro again!)

    April 2008:

Next up was to lower it, was on a budget so 30mm eibach springs and bilstein shocks

    May 2008:

Got a good offer on a miltek exhaust from AMD, went for the single anni pipe, and had a genuine anni valance put on too

June 2008: Got the front and rear valances colour coded, made a big difference IMO..

    June 2008:

Medium tints on the rear and light tints up front (thanks to Tinter and Courtney for arranging this GB)

    July 2008:

After an unexpected tax rebate, I had a bit of extra cash and decided to splash out and do what I have always wanted for the past 3 years, get a r32 front bumper!

So I bought a genuine front bumper, complimented the grill with some genuine anni lights and also got a set of genuine r32 side skirts!

Also added front and back aero wipers to the list:

And finally got the car delocked.

    August 2008:

I was loving how mean the front end of the car looked, and I was also pleased with the anni rear valance, but out of luck I came across the R-line rear bumper (with cutout)! I knew there was a 6 month waiting list for them and they were really rare so  I just had to have it!

    September 2008:

It was about time I did something to the interior too, so I got myself a r32 steering wheel and Bora Immo 3 clocks (thanks kalu)..
Also newsouth gauge and pod (thanks to Al at Awesome for the GB) was fitted..

    October 2008
Another months pay cheque, and as my brakes needed changing I decided to upgrade, big thanks to Dave Brown for countless hours of advice and help. I decided to go with these especially refurbed r32 brakes with HAWK pads:

Also I got the 288mm rears done too so that I could get an even braking setup front and rear, car stops a millions times better now and there is no nose dive on braking!

    October 2008

This month proved to be really expense as I also bought this little toy:

Turbodynamics Stage 2 hybrid pd150 turbo!!

Big thanks to Sem for saving this for me...

    November 2008

As I was had big plans to go hybrid turbo on my car, I really needed an intercooler system to compliment this, there was no way the standard side mount + piping would be able to cope.

I was extremely luck to be able to put forward my car as a donor vehicle in Forge Motorsport's project to design a FMIC. A BIG thanks to Joe (afro_gti) for being so kind and giving me the heads up on this, I keep saying it but I do really owe you one bro!

    December 2008

Eibach F + R anti roll bars installed, 15mm H+R spacers rear and 8mm up front - these mods have REALLY transformed the handling!

    January 2009

The one thing I was missing was to slam it, so I got  a mint set of these:

But with a change a plan I sold them on and heres a teaser of what replaced them:

As you can probably work out, a lot of my hard earned money has been spent on the car modifying it, I have always used GENUINE VW parts, and
I serviced the car 3 times already since buying it.. lol

Still quite a few plans to come, with fitting and mapping the hybrid turbo but I'm going to wait for the weather to clear up before doing it...

    Heres some more snaps:

All comments, good and bad welcome

    Adz..

Alot of time, money and effort has been put into this and it definitely shows Cool Stop teasing now and get some pics of the slammage!!!! Wink Are you gonna stick with the same wheels?

The car proper looks like Sonny's old one? or is it because of the silver/oettinger wheels combo? Wink

wow, cheers for the comments lads, it really does make it all feel worth it..Smile

azzle23 - cheers, yes its come along way in relatively little time.. hows your big power plans coming along? when you getting the forge FMIC?

fenwick458 - yes ive kept most my mods silent up to now lol.. but ive done most the mods i set out to.. hopefully should be able to leave the Rs once the hybrids done, I could have just bought a real R for just as much but that would be no fun right Big Smile .. when you getting your hybrid back? any ideas on who you taking it to for the map?

afro - yeh luckily managed to snap up the r-line, it just didnt look right tbh with the R front and sideskirts and anni rear.. nope not getting a spoiler I like the smooth look like you say.. haha yeh took me ages to do one, but I've remembered a few mods ive missed lol..

hotboy - im going to hire you and your camera for some shots mate! lol.. all my pics are poor quality!

    lee23051977 - cheers fella..

goody_gti - thanks mate.. i think me and you are the only ones with oettingers, but tbh they do look better on your car with the contrast, mine are up for a refurb soon i think shadow chrome centre are going to be the choice.. im definetley keeping the wheels now, they look so much better now the cars slammed!

craigolgmk4 - thanks, all my mods aren't exactly original but they seem to be the most popular ones..

Amz - cheers bro! yeh took me forever writing all that and uploading the pics! lol.. yup hybrid and air is a very expensive combination, but ive been very lucky with all of this, ive managed to get really good deals on pretty much everything from the FMIC to the hybrid and even an amazing deal on air.. no way i could have afforded half this stuff if I paid full wack on anything..

Chris1.8T - r-line rear has got to be one of my fav mods, oettingers are different but ive began to like them again..

Satnam - thanks mann! im getting there slowly, definetley got to link up when im up in bham next, still need to get in contact with your matey to get the oettingers refurbed.. air is crazy mate, it really has transformed the look of the car!

dubyavee - cheers! cant believe i got money back either! i just randomly worked it out and it came to over a G, was a nice little gift..

evil genius - big transformation certainly, im aiming for 230-240 bhp and ~ 400 lb/ft of ground ripping torque Big Smile

afrogti - definetley thats the intention, same RR, same place, same time, then they'l be none of this "oh my cars got this much power etc etc" we get round the forum.. lol

redflame - thanks matey, yeh its taken some serious effort and time, not to mention the numerous wallet emptying experiences lol..

cd123 - broo, it took me ages to write this, but finally got it done! ha!
