A few people here asked for pictures of my Porsche cup 2 wheels, once they'd come back from powdercoating at Aerocoat - here's a couple of pictures of how they turned out!

Far more interesting than the original Silver, I think you'd agree!

I haven't pushed the centre caps in yet, which is why they're sticking out a bit.

Here's some larger versions of the same above images, for those who would like to see the finish, a little more close up.

I'm really happy with the results and I recommend their service to anyone. They're really busy at the moment, so don't be surprised if there estimate of 2-3 days to turn around wheels, takes a little longer....not a problem for me, as I was not in a hurry.

Also got the Santa Monica's back on my Golf today - looks alot better since being lowered on KW V1's!

All I can say is wow Heat.

I really like them, not sure if that finish would look good on TT comps on a silver car though...hhmmmm.

I may to have to post a pic and see if someone can photoshop them for me.

Did you go to the Aerocoat themselves?

Finish does look very good, little dark compared to other companies version of black chrome, ive just been to wheel specialist to look at finishes from my anni rc's.

They look stunning, far better than original. Did they do the badges or are they different ones. Whichever it is they look amazing too.

drool very nice! i looked into getting mine done the same last year, but decided to save the money as i'd only kerb them up in the first couple of months in my narrow london streets, plus the finish isn't supposed to be too resilient.

I agree, your ones look a little darker than all other ones i've seen. still, can only love these Yes

What is it, about £60 a corner?

I think the're finished in the same way as the Standard Aeromax, they are ball burnished and then powdercoated, finish is supposed to be very hardy and no chance of corrosion as it's not a spray and lacquer.  Once you get some sealant on them I think they'll be roadproof!

Aeromax isn't ball burnishing as far as I know, that's why they're able to withstand the elements more. From what I remember they're powdercoated and lacquered to produce a similar finish to bare ball burnished metal. The whole point of powder coating and lacquering is to be completely weather proof. there's nothing better. anni wheels get tatty because once the lacquer splits or chips water seeps under it to corrode the bare metal. Powdercoating prevents that, but then you loose the metalic look, but Aeromax reproduces that.
