i made the looms for mine jake, its not difficult, i used the proper plugs and repair wires from vw (no idea of the part numbers now, but pretty sure i found them on here). but that how to is good for getting the wiring right. (lengths etc)
you basically make it exactly as the how to, and feed the wire through until you get to your fuse box, and connect it to the blue and grey wire 
for power, and then brown for earth. though i have heard of people directly connecting each vent to power/earth individually. (i prefered the loom idea)
