hi all can any recommend me a good garage in bristol to have a gearbox problem sorted crunching in 3rd gear to be precise any help much appreciated

Not sure about good places in Bristol, there is the VW Whitehouse in Brislington; they seem to know what they're doing but doesn't feel very professional.

One place that gets great reviews from everyone is TRD but I believe they're up by Gloucester somewhere. But people do travel there, I'm thinking of doing the same when I need some work doing.

They are based up in Stroud, I've just dropped my car in for a service this morning, roughly 100 miles round trip for me from Weston but its well worth it!

They are called Vee W Services, I used to use them when I had my MK2 driver, a long time ago now but they were very good and very helpful.
