what are people using to shine and condition the windows rubbers etc on the car i hate how wax dries off white and cant be removed from the windows rubbers etc

have tried a few things but they usually leave an oily residue or a silicon finish on the paintwork

Non silicone based dressing, my other half uses it in the auto trade but you cant buy it on the retail market, but there should be brands that do their own Smile

Take the residue of with a pencil eraser.... works on all trims !!!!!!!!

I use various products to shine them updependant on the requirement.

For daily use  - for doing the work thing.... I use Mer Rubber and trim treatment, its  about the longest lasting product I have found, and doesnt tend to streak unless you put it on to thick. Its nice and shiney, but as deep as others.

For shows, I use VRP Dressall, its got a deep luster and excellent shine but doesnt/ wont with stand the rain, it runs like a trooper no matter how I put it on.

gummi pflege by einszett is great stuff for conditioning door & window rubbers.  Not sure if its exactly what your after as i doubt it'll remove wax residue but its great for old/tired looking seals.  Highly regarded over at DetailingWorld and roughly £6 a pop so pretty cheap to.

A bit of APC, or a mf in hot water should remove the wax on the rubber. Or you can get a proper wax remover like in link.

Use pure wax and not one that contains a polish and you shouldn't get that problem.

Realistically a car only needs polishing once or twice a year if the paint surface is protected by a good quality carnuaba wax.

Golf has gone. Votex kit, tints and 18's fitted to Audi, just need to get new pics now

I had a bit of AutoGym trim and bumper restorer.

That brought quite a bit of colour back to the faded rubber!

I use an AutoGlym Vinyl and Rubber product. Not sure of the proper name but it has a yellow label. Works wonders on all rubber seals and windscreen wiper metal frames too. Only require a small amount to work. Recommend to allYes

    Jaz..

Oh, and AG Vinyl and Rubber care is good for all non-textured plastics / rubbers.

AG Bumper care is very good for textured plastics...

Thats very good for when you clean the engine too, spray that all over when cleaned and dried and it'll look proper bling.
