    Hi guys

I bought a vagcom cable about 3 years ago for my Golf V6 4motion.  I know it won't work on a mk5 golf, but would like to know the manufacturing dates and vehicle list that this 'older' type of cable will work on.   Can anyone help please?

    Thank you.

Basically it will work on anything pre CAN based (which is what the MK5 is)

Look on Ross-Tech's site for more info

A dual K style interface should work with all VW/Audi/Sea/Skoda from 1995-2004 if you are running version 409.  With an adapter it will go back to 1990.  If you have a genuine Ross-Tech dongle and are running current software, it should handle any model up to the point where they changed to CAN - which started on Audis in '03, MK5 in '05 and '08 all had to be CAN.
