I have a genuine vagcom cable bought off a friend of mine and mkivs member. I had to buy a Serial to USB lead.

Before registering with vagcom i did the test and it recognised my ECU and would connect fine.

A month later i have bought vagcom, now when i try to connect it to the car, it says interface not found!! I cant see anything that has changed in that time.

Im thinking that (even though i installed it before) that there is a problem with the driver of the USB to Serial lead. Ive done tons of searches and cant seem to get an answer, and any driver i try to download is on chinese sites!

I did some checking and ive made sure that vagcom and the USB are on the same COM - Com3, And changing the COM's make any difference.

Anyone had this before or any ideas what to do? Pulling my hair out here as i have airbag lights i need to get rid off! Not really great with PC's either so any help appreciated.

When you go to device manager, is there any 'items' with a yellow trianlge beside them?

 There is yes....does that mean its the driver?

There's an issue with the driver.

I Uninstalled the previous driver, re-inserted the USB lead and it came up as new hardware found.

Then downloaded your driver azzle and installed it. It told me to restart the PC.

After restarting, and looking at the ports, there is still a errror triangle. the new driver appears and also a microsoft driver. Which it has automatically chosen. I cant select the other driver, and when i press to update the driver from files already on the pc it says that I already have the most upto date - the microsoft one!!!!!! aaaaaahhhh

 Anyone know why this driver wont load?
