If you get a remap from one of the reputable companies you should have no issues from the map as alot of time and money has been spent developing it to work with your specific model of car.

What a remap can do is show up a fault elsewhere that, say, ordinary levels of boost didn't highlight.  If the car is checked before and after there should be no problem and you end up with a big smile !

I have had numerous cars remapped and never had an issue ....

Check out www.Viezu.com for your local dealer. Remaps are insurance approved, so many customers find very little increase to their premiums if any at all. Big Smile

I remapped mine from just after it was 'run in' at about 1500miles it's now done 30,000 and and some 2 and a half years later; not a single problem apart from a permenant grin on ones face from watching more exotic marques deminishing in size in your rear view mirror!!

You will not have any problems with a remap, adding to what has already been said as long as you use a reputable company they will check engine before remap, running diagnostics to make sure no error codes come up, and will perform this after the remap, to make sure everything is OK.

Had my 150tdi remapped (generic) by Jabbasport, have never had any problem, What a difference it made! very happy.

A remap Will bring under laying issues to light, a good remap will not cause issues.

Ok, daverogers2001 I suppose I did without realising  should have given it more thought to what I said. But yeah I guess if your car is running without problems and you know all is ok, then getting the engine remapped is a very worthwhile improvement.

By the way I am a new member, just getting into this forum posting. But no excuses from me for copying. Thanks for saying.
