Righty, as I'm actually starting to put some decent mods on my car now, I thought I'd take some piccys as I go and post em here for you to see Big Smile

Firstly, here is my car when I first bought it back in January.

Completley standard apart from the RSTT reps and an S2000 style stubby arial (Cheers Zeke! Wink)

    Full spec:
    2001 Golf GTI 1.8t (AUM)
    57k on the clock
    Anthracite Grey
    3 door
    Climatronic
    Recaro interior
Winter pack (heated seats, mirrors & headlight washers)
    18" RSTT wheels

First order of the day was to get the 60k service done - for those that know me, I wasn't going to risk another mis-hap with the water pump!! Stick out tongue

As it was winter there wasn't much I was looking to do on the car so it stayed as is for a while Sad

Next was to change the wheels as I'm not a fan or the RSTT/RS4 wheels.  I already had a set of 18" RS6's in my garage from my old golf! Big Smile  So they went on, back in March...

And here are some more pics from the beginning of April...  With the addition of a full set of Aero wipers, and a uk-mkiv's sticker YesSmile

This is how the car has been up until a couple of weeks ago. Stick out tongue  Once I have sotred out some new pics with new toys, I'll post em up!! Big Smile

    Busted! Stick out tongue

Yeah I have, it's pretty similar to what the car looks like now as I had it dropped 40mm + ARB's + 15mm rear spacers at the weekend Big Smile  Will sort some pics out for that soonish!  I'm useless with a camera hehe!

I put a load of interior mods in last week too which I need to add piccys for!

Will sort that out later today Wink

Ok I got round to sorting some piccys out over lunch!  Enjoy! Smile

So I thought the interior needed a bit of change....  Big Smile

Big thanks to Amal (Mister_E) for sorting out the bora vents, ali door triggers and R-line gear shifter.. cheers matey!  Also to Neil (old_no7) for fixing me up with the wiring loom for the vents... it worked a treat buddy, cheers YesBig Smile

The W8 light I got from OEM Parts - Cheers Mike!  Just awaiting delivery of an adaptor plug so I can fit it properly.  I kinda broke my old light hense why I have non-working W8 semi-installed at the mo! EmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassed

    -----------------------

Comments like "Looks like you have a reps car with that ride height" and "4 fingers!!!" make me think... You're damn right there, it looks like a tractor and handles like a milkfloat!! Crying

So taking full advantage of the BBT 10% off day, I decided to part with a little cash to resolve the problem! Stick out tongue

Koni 40mm springs, H&R rear 15mm hubcentric spacers and a full H&R ARB kit!  Huge thanks to the guys at BBT for sorting this out for me.

The car now has that low fat stance which looks fantastic.  As for the handling, it's like a go-kart now! Big Smile  Such a massive improvement on the standard setup!  Well happy with it Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile

Fly: That's an interior light from a Passat W8.  It offers better illumination and has 2 little red LED which give out a nice glow over the dash at night Smile

Mine is not fitted properly yet as I'm awaiting delivery of the adaptor plug!

PS, I'm super jealous of your Siverstone grey MKIV Big Smile

About time I saw a threadl ike this old boy - I will hopefully be seeing you on Sunday although I doubt I'll be there by 1, it'll be later Yes

Fly - W8 lights from Mike @ OEM Parts (they've got a sponsor forum on here) dunno if he's got the looms though, although they used to be quite easy to pick up from all sorts of places (Shaq's a good alternative from Kool VW, also a sponsor iirc)
