Well after talking about it for rather a long time i felt the urge to pull my finger out and get it sorted
You will have to get your thinking caps on for this one as it is more a pain in the ass to do rather than hard
Well here are the total amount of tools you will need to be able to remove the interior trim and the head liner
From left to right:-
Nail scissors, Philips screw driver, pliers, Ratchet 1/4 extension, 10mm socket, 17mm socket.
The scissors are a prefernce for me to remove the small screw caps that hold the sun visors in place as it does not cause any damage to the plastic cap´s.
ok it will be easier to show this in steps but this is so easy to remove and takes me about 15min to get the head liner out as i used to do this for a living lol
normaly if you take your time it should take about 30-45min to complete.
You can chose where to start as it is not really important if you ask me
Remove the seat belt anchors on the B and C pillars

Remove the interior front light plastic cover and you will find 2 Phillips screws and with a light pull it will come out.

The RED marked areas are where you will find more Philips screws that you will need to remove.
Take care when removing the plastic cap from around the sun visor hook that you don´t snap it off SO DON`T pry off the hook part
Use a verry small flat head screw driver and slide it between the hook and the cover from the front and leaver it towards the windscreen and it will come off BUT TAKE CARE.
To remove the A pillar trim´s all you have to do it get your fingers in the top by the roof liner and pull as it is only cliped in place and should be quite easy to shift
the same goes for the B pillar covers apart from that you need to slide them up to remove them from the bottom half of the trim.
You should be left with this
As for the rear C pillar covers you will need the 10mm socket and extension to remove 2 metal nuts on either side behind the carpet.

Removing the sun visors by prying the small plastic covers from the anchor on the far left and right
marked in red

You will also have to pull the door rubbers down enough to free them from the head liner as this holds it in place rather firmly
Once you can see no other parts are holding the head liner in place just keep giving it a push and a shove till it comes free BUT be careful not to damage it in any way as they cost a small fortune
if you recline your front seats it will make it better and then you can see the wiring loom that is attached to the underside of the head liner and if you follow the cables down to the LEFT hand A pillar right in the corner by the dash board you will see 2 black plugs that you will need to undo to detach the roof loom from the rest of the car.
The head liner should slide out the boot with ease but try and have someone to lend a hand because if the car has a sun roof then the head liner is quid flimsy on the edges.
NOW FOR THE pain in the ass bit
Covering the roof is something you need to do as it is just preference how you want to do it but make sure you get a material that will stretch or life will be hell for you along the way due to all the curves and sharp corners like where the grab handle recesses are.
Take your time and only spray the glue about 6 inches at a time starting from the rear of the head liner and take care not to get glue on the outer surface as it is a right mare to get off
Once you have the head liner covered you can then cut around the edges, but make sure to leave enough to be able to fold around and stick on the underside, about an inch is enough.

I chose to paint all the grey plastics with plastic BLACK SATIN paint

I will be replacing all of this along the way for the OEM black plastics just to get the desired finish but i must say it does look good
The glue is used cost about 3-4 quid a tin and have used about 1 and a half tins of glue to do the job.

Replace the head liner once finished in the reverse and just make sure all the bits and joins have a nice snug fit and you will not go far wrong
I will put up some pics of the finished car tomorrow as it was dark when i had finished
I will use the same back paint to coat the door rubbers to hide the still grey bits so it all blends in .
HAVE FUN and don´t make a mess like i did lol
