had a couple of fault codes popping up every now and again, started when vehicle was completey standard.

    17544- long term add-fuel bank 1 lean

    18010- B+ low voltage terminal 30

From what i can see 17544 is a vacuum leak somewhere, likely pre turbo..is that right??

Not sure on 18010, where is terminal 30??

    Fault code 17544

Think most common is the pipe to the pressure regualtor? But check all vacuum pipes

    fault code 18010

Have you had your battery disconnected lately?? Failing that check your battery and alternator are ok

ok will have to check those pipes.

Well, have had it disconnected but i'm 99% sure i reset all the codes and it came up again. I just wondered why it was showing up as terminal 30 and where it is?

Terminal 30 is unswitched battery power in your car.

ok looks like i've sotrted the battery problem but still getting the 17544 code coming up.

i've had a look at the vac pipes but can't see anything obvious. I'm not sure whether its coincidence or not but this only starting happening sometime after i put the forge dump valve on. Anyone had any experience of these leaking? I've put the standard one back on to see what happens. The fault code seems to come 3 days after a reset, any reason for that?

The fault will come back after 3 days as i believe its down too 3 iginition cycles before anything will be deemed out of tolerance! Takes the average of the 3 readings and then the ecu will decide if theres a fault present!

With the 17544 error, buy a load of jubilee clips and then spend a day removing one hose at a time (vacuum ones around dv/turbo) and fully inspect them (the spilt I had on mine was impossible to spot on the car)

     Hope this helps

take your time and check all pipes carefully and in particular check the pipes underneath the inlet manifold, it'll defo by a split pipe somewhere

Hi all I have been having trouble with the golf with DTC 17544 as you know & today I  found out the dam vac leak today its behind the inlet manifold ...

What I need is a pic of the rubber pipes that run into the inlet manifold please  & also the part numbers for them ...

& its not the Y shaped pipe thats leaking its 2 pipes with sort of got tape around it  ?

    Cheers

    Jatie
