    Okay Everyone,

I thought it might be a good idea to post mods which are decent and cheap, for those of us feeling the squeeze (£).

Rules are as follows: Please post the price (must be sub £100), a short description, a picture (if available) and a part number/place to get it from

If we can keep it a simple and informative thread, maybe it'll become sticky - so let's spread the knowledge peeps.

    Yes

    ======================

    I'll go first-

VW OEM Sunglasses holder, which replaces the grab handle. £16 from a stealer.

    Part number = 1CO 857 465 Y20 (grey) / 1CO 857 465 3PT (beige)

You're probably right about the price limit, but I think that once you start talking under £30, the thread would be pretty short. Also, to some people £100 is not a lot, and to others it's a large amount..... tought to please everyone Smile

A bargain mod has to be a euro style black grill. Works best on certain colours but I bought one for my silver Bora, from a scrappy for £12 + £3 postage off of ebay! It completely changed the front of the car!

comfort turn = you flick the indicator stalk once, and the indicator flashes 3 times

w8 light = as far as i know, has 2 red led's which illuminate, which gives a nice glow when you have your headlights on

With the comfort indicator so you just flick it not enough to lock otherwise the stalk would stick to the indicating position. :S and is that red light thing good? I'm not sure if i'd like it tbh. Hmmm interested though as i'd wanna start modding simple things before goin into the bodykit/performance stuff.

as far as i know, its just a little flick, obviously not enough for it to lock Yes

this may make sense with regards to the W8 light:

the comfort indicator is designed for changing lanes on the motorway of signalling off a roundabout, with a conventional stalk you can click it into positon for constant, or hold it to the contact for it to flash (as i do when changing lanes)

with the comfort one, you push the stalk towards the turn direction as you would, but don't let it click into place (as far as it will go until you feel resistance) then release, this will then flash three times and stop, whilst you concentrate on you driving skills Cool

lol haha! i haven't got this fitted on mine, but have used them in other cars.

Bit fiddly to use, and as i mentioned earlier, i'm happy with holding my indicator in place.

But it could be a funky feature to show off when selling your car! Cool

Do you have a pic of the headlamp covers?  I was thinking about all these tinted lights etc the other night and wondering if anyone had thought about getting the lamp covers and lightly tinting them on the inside surface.  You will then have smoked headlights that are not as obvious as the FK angels or other similar lights which dont I dont really like.  If you run better bulbs or HID's there shoudlnt be any light loss.

there you go, you can see the right and left ones now lol.

Use to have those stick on tints on a previous car (too embarrased to say what) and they do a good job if applied right, dont look stuck on at all.
