Here's a few pics, planning to do a few more mods over the winter and finish some off.

    what do you guys think?

one of the planned mods is to upgrade the 312mm brake setup.

04/10/2008 here's another a mod I've had done a while ago. Inverted clock and mileage displays with red back lighting instead of blue.

Need some help with Vagcom check, Keys/Immobilser adaption, cluster swapping, Miles till Empty/Illuminated Needles, Autowindows, ECU swapping//coding etc... PM me :) Pics of the aRd automobile http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/p/239924/1548484.aspx#1548484

One thing though... there's something about the back end that doesn't do it for me. possibly the lights(?)

    Update 08/12/2007

I decided to strip the paint off the Porsche calipers and repaint them.  BoraChris gave me a hand today stripping the paint off the calipers.  They're now ready for a good rub down before painting up.

Here's a few pictures of the naked calipers

I'm bored of my smoked hella magic rear lights, decided I need a change. I've always wanted all 'red' rear lights  I decided to paint up a set of standard rear lights. A big thank you to Jay Renshaw for his advice in painting  up rear lights

What do you guy's think ?

s_o_a_b really easy to do, paint them in a warm area, take your time. Light coats of spray, to build them up . I've used light tint bought from eBay.

Hey Ray,what are you doing with your old lights? I know a man who would rip your arm off for those Hella's.

Top marks on the all red rear lights,i've seen polo's with them all red,the result looks very good in my eyes.Something i was going to do in the new year, before i decided to get rid of it.

You were meant to be doing the decorating Ray not stripping callipers this weekend Stick out tongue.

They will look better doing it that way than the rubbing down method, was the paint easy to remove with the nitromores?

Do you have any pics of the car from the rear with the rear lights? Also, how did you paint the standard ones to get the all red effect? Did you use some sort of foliatec type spray?

Chris, she's worked it.  I would be decorating if Ikea never delivered me a load of stuff that I never order.  Nightmare dealing with Ikea, its take over 4 days to get someone in there to do something. Looks like the new year when they're coming to collect the stuff.  I'm ticked off at the moment I really do want to get the house finished

Painting calipers is  stress relief at the moment.

I KNOw that ray has done a few things on the old QT band  is the type not to open his mouth and shout about it.

I also know that Ray´s car has more add on´s in terms of OEM mods than most of us put together, coupled with his expert know how on VW electrics than anyone i know.
