    Hey all,

I don't know if there's a diy tool/ tips section but I've been reading a lot of posts and people seem to ask similar questions like, "How dya get the little buggers out?", etc. I've just fitted the comfort indicators and the easiest part was removing the connections - the hardest getting the block connectors back in and hidden.

I've used the paper clip twice so far and I keep two in the car.

To remove the pins for the cup holder cover use a paper clip like so:

To remove electrical connections with the 'barb' retainer use a paper clip like so:

And here it is in action:

And no, cos I know someone will ask, I'm not a stationer. Chuckle

Through the front, if i remember correctly. This will be a problem if its already connected to a wire and you dont want to cut it.

If you mean the cup cover, fit them in reverse order. Place the cup holder upside down on a table and slide them back in place. Don't forget the little silver clip that makes the cover flip open when you press it. This may fall out.

Regards the block connector, the pic shows the paper clip pressing down the raised lugs that hold the connector in place.

Once they are held down, you pull the wire/ connector out the back of the block.

To refit - raise the flattened lugs with a small screwdriver and simply push back in from the back of the block.

     Hope that helps.

I am just trying to fit the comfort indicator kit and I cannot *for the life of me* get the connectors out! I have tried the paper clip trick above, and with a hair-pin (a bit stiffer), but the little sods will NOT come out!

Help!! It's driving me up the wall!!!

I use flat jewellers screwdrivers, works a treat and also handy for getting the barbs back out on the pins.

No problem glad I could offer some advice, the only thing that bugs me about the comfort kit is they could have supplied it with longer wiring to actually mount the relay on the relay plate below the CCM!

I have temporarily cable tied it to the metal dash support pillar until I lengthen the wires to put it on the relay plate.
