     DON'T do it!!!

VW speakers cannot match most aftermarket speakers and IMO are pants. You will see very little (if any!) difference at all by fitting this kit as you still have the RCD headunit anyway. If you are interest in a better sound quality, an aftermarket set-up is the only way to go. Go and see your local sound specialist (not Halfrauds please) and get some good solid info from them before you make a decision. If you get your set-up wrong it'll cost you more in the long run.Wink

I brought a set of these at GTi international from the same sellers. Was told that they fit all Mk5 Golfs which is true to a point, in that the speakers will physically fit in the correct locations but are not plug and play. It seems that they are upgrades for Golfs with 3 speakers already fitted to the doors. My car only has 2 ( the middle ones are missing). If you have the 10 speaker setup i.e 3 in each front door then these are a better quality item. Cannot say how they sound but should be better than standard. The kit is certainly comprehensive and comes with some very good insructions and everything required to fit them. I will soon be putting these on ebay to try and get some money back unless someone is interested in them .

You can PM me if anyone wants them.. will be a good saving on the advertised price.

To tag onto this post Wink im looking to upgrade my sound system,Hurdy- u mention the head unit, i was told that head units make a huge difference to the sound (providing they can facilitate the speakers etc) i have a 5 door mk5 and have three speakers in each front door (inc. tweeters) i want to upgrade them, put speakers in the back doors and a sub and amp in a custom box im building for the boot (stealth style) but im unsure over the sizes of the speakers that will fit in each door and shud i change the headunit as im getting different opinions from so called "experts"!! Huh?

any help or advice ould be much welcomed
