I have a fabia vrs and have a dragon digital tuning box fitted, as well as a custom cat back exhaust with smaller rear box.
I have been qouted £60 to have a de cat pipe put in.
Is it worth it and will it cause problems with the small pd130 turbo?
Wont cause any problems mate should be better if anything,it will keep turbo temprature down by been more free flowing and should give the car a more turbo whistling sound and make it more responsive, for that price mate bite there arm off
It's pro speed cardiff too.... probably one of the best custom exhaust makers in the UK.... will have to have a think...
I have heard it can lead to problems with the turbo "running away" with boost?
Well many on here who have non resonated pipes on and no troubles, surely nobody would but them at all if this was a risk n people wouldnt make them for risk of people claiming off them for the caused damage
charlie (pro-speed) done mine back last month mate! i had full system de cat (cat was blocked anyways!) sounds wicked! Its a shame i bought the CDA induction kit as it drains the exhaust out but never mind we live and learn!

the boost is electronically controlled, so it will still boost to the specified level and no more, only thing is it will spool up a little quicker.
Mine spools up quicker with a de cat
