Go for a nice rusty, ratted orangey-brown. Then stick an old suitcase on the roof rack. Job's a good 'un Wink

I've seen some beautiful high gloss blacks with gold flakes in the paint, so when the sun shines you get a lovely golden glisten....

    .....sounds ghey, looks awesome

Unless your stripping it down to a bare shell then go with the same colour it is now. If you paint it red say, when you open the doors or boot etc people will always know that it was black etc [ i know the insides of the doors etc will be painted to match the outside but you can put your last pound on it somewhere will be visable and show black paint, it may also put people off when you come to sell. The main reason why i would keep it the same colour is because seeing other parts of the car inside black would annoy me.

Plus if you get some stone chips or you catch the sill with your shoes and take some paint off etc it will look nasty.

Another good reason to not go for some crazy colour with flecks of shiny bits in, is if you have to do any touch up, or have some bodywork requiring painting in the future, they might not be able to match the paint.

Black magic is the best colour anyway. Especially when it's in good nick. Yes

Honda Nighthawk black,  a deep glossy black, with dark blue metallic flakes,  it looks awesome.     so much better than vw's aweful black magic pearl, which is black with gold metallic flakes.,

failing that,  BMW carbon black,   it's a dark dark black/blue,  with a blueish tinge.   similar to nighthawk black,  but still looks just as awesome.
