     hey, im just thinking of buying a vw bora 2.0 sport v reg 1999, fvsh, now its got full vw bodykit, built in vw satnav,heated seats, sunroof, climate control, 18" alloy wheels, immaculate condition inside and out, just 1 prob, its done 190k, now its got everything but do i buy it or shall i not?? any advice would be great, thanks justin, btw its up for £ 2,300

     thasts pretty high mileage even if you work it out at average per year,but the big thing for me is the 2.0l engine it has to be one fo the poorest if not the poorest engine in the mk4 range,zero power and zero pull.

     Depends on whether you want to put another engine in. Are the mods carried out to your taste as instead of modding, a lot of your money will be spent replacing worn out parts. The off side is that if you uprate all your suspension and brakes etc it will still only be a 2 litre.

    I personally would steer clear.

    And at 190k the seat bolsters should be pretty worn. If they are not alarm bells should be ringing.

     my mates mrs had a 2l bora and she said it loved its petrol was a crap engine and barely used it i personally think its a bit over priced for the mileage bound to have problems at that mileage id have thought

     too higher price for that to be honest.. i would stay clear.. 2l are cr@p!

     the boras of choice would be the 130 or 150 pd engines or the V6 ( woudl say that lol)

    i would actualyl go for a 130 over a 150 also much more solid for tuning.
