    im saving up to get a golf and im hoping to spend between £3000 to £4000 . What do you reckon i will find for my money, im hoping for a golf mk4 gti 1.8 t either in 150 or 180 trim. I know its going to be aboutn 80000 miles to 100000+.

    thats not bad at all, i really want to get the recaro's, even leather ones would be nicer, what sort of engine code would a car of this much be? agu? how can you tell?

     There is a metal stamp on the engine(left hand side as you open the bonnet).

    It'll also have cable throttle

    My £3k got me this,needs some work,but that gives me something to doYes

    ohh im loving the leather recaro's , are they comfy to sit it? ive been in a cloth recaro's in a golf which i liked alot

    I'm about to put my X reg V5 up for sale. I was looking for £3800. Will add some pictures when I can but in the meantime here's some info. I don;t really want to sell it but have bought a Discovery for the newly expanded family
