OK, took my car to local trusted grease monkeys for the MOT at the w/e on my AUQ Anni... all sorted, parents pciked car up for me yesterday afternoon and my Dad said an orange light was on, sure enough I got it from their house last night and the EPC light is on!!

Took it back this morning hopign maybe it was just a sensor been knocked during the MOT, he did a check with a Solus thing (like VAG-COM) and it produced this code...

ECM Power Relay Load Circuit (J271): Open Circuit

He cleared the code and the light went out... is this anythign I need to worry about and see VW about??

i took my car to have a rear door swapped around and when i picked it up they said the battery had gone flat so they had jumped it.

when he went to bring it round for me, i was watching and he started the engine but the throttle pedal wouldnt work, this happened 3 or so times, eventualy it work and he came round the front. i drove off and noticed the epc light was on aswell.

couple of days the throttle would not work the 1st time you started the engine, you had to turn it of then back on again and it would work.

eventualy i replaced the brake light switch and all was well. dont know what fault code it had to put the light on, but thats how i fixed mine
